New Kalpthy Village or Agraharam (tradition tamil brahmin settlement). On the left is the famous Siva temple ( and on the right is the Manthakara temple. The New Kalpathy Village is one of the participants of the Kalpathy Ratholsavam (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalpathi_Ratholsavam) which is one of the famous temple chariot festivals of Kerala.

My house is near to "NARAVASAL' this place is towards Govindarajapuram Varadaraja Perumal Temple and also to the Famous Kalpathy River (now Forest) due to soil stolen. The in around of Kalpathy is very fabolous. You has to visit the famous Kalpathy Rathotsavam without fail. The Lord Mahaganapathy is our village God and blessing us. Thanks Visit Kalapthy............

  • Kalpathy village is very close to the Palakkad town - 3kms / 15 minutes. Autos are available in plenty from the transport / private bus stand as well as the railway station. All trains entering Kerala thru Coimbatore has to pass thru Palakkad Jn. NH47 Salem - Kannyakumari pass thru Palakkad. There are several hotels available in the town area - Indraprashta, Kapilavasthu, Soorya Sri Chakra etc etc. priced at various levels. Ratholsavam is in the mid of Nov every year. There are several temples in and around Kalpathy......It is worth a visit especially to see the temple architecture and festivals....
