Glenwood Lake is a residential area located in the western portion of New Rochelle. The area is bordered by Pelham on the west, Chauncey Estates on the east and French Ridge on the south.

Glenwood Lake is on a tributary of Hutchinson River in Westchester County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. At normal levels it has a surface area of 4 acres. It is owned by the City Of New Rochelle. Glenwood Lake Dam is of earthen construction, masonry. Its height is 12 feet Maximum discharge is 18 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 11 acre feet. Normal storage is 7 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.12 square miles.

New Rochelle bought 3 acres to add to Glenwood Lake park, in 2001. Westchester County contributed $210,000 purchase price. New Rochelle contributed 1 percent of the purchase price and dedicated an additional 1.5 acres as parkland. The city bought an additional acre at Glenwood Lake in 2006.
