Approximate location of First House, built 1744, rebuilt 1798, burned 1909. The three houses at Montauk were used to lodge sheep and cattle drivers, and later visitors to the area in the mid-1800's after. Second House still stands at Second House Road and Montauk Highway. Third House is now part of Deep Hollow Ranch further east.
