Athantar is a beautiful village beside the river anla around 5 k.m from NIALI. This village is famous for harmony of communities of lower castes & higher castes.Of course, politics has been the enjoyable time pass for quite a few during elections. People are largely peaceful despite the fact that the cut throat competition to have name & fame is prevalent in the present society. Calamities ,either flood or water shortage is the bane of the village as most of the people depend on agriculture.
