  • Got curious when I opened this and felt a bit disappointed to find nothing about the community which made this gramom and the Sree Maha Ganapathy Temple there. By the by, the present Kalyana Mantapa just behind the temple was the place where I used to spend my summer vacation every year during my school days. My grandfather, (late) Shri A.H. Sankaranarayana Iyer used to take me around and many a time, I used to walk with him all the way to Avanavanchery gramom, which incidentally happens to be the place of my grandmother. Her other family branch members are still there. I hope they read this. I convey my greetings to Shri Ramadason Potti thro' this. Lord Shri Maha Ganapathy, Lord Shri Subramanya, Lord Shri Dharma Sastha, Devi Bhagavathy, Lord Shri Hanuman, Navagraha Devathas and the Nagaraja bless all of those who are descendents to renew their ties with this small and beautiful village and continue to seek the blessings of their temple. By the by, why not we develop a network and try to find ways of coming together atleast on Mandala Puja days, etc.
  • It is unfortunate; seems no one has seen my earlier message above. Any way, I am yet to give up. I still pray all-powerful devathas of the temple that this serves as a link to bring us all together, atleast once or twice a year and go back to our otherwise routine lives wherever we are. Nothing beyond that. So, kindly connect.
  • My father, Grandfather and great grand father were from attingal. But nobody is alive now. At present I am at Mumbai. I agree with your suggestions. Shri Harihara Iyer and Ramadasan Potty the present President and Secretary of the ganapathy temple send prasadam every month. I agree with your suggestions to have the people our village to come and participate once in a year during major festival. With kind regards. K.Krishnan Ph.25587379 email: krishnan1958_barc@yahoo.com
