This place is dated all the way back to 1896 where the school was located on Barracks Road and was named Montego Bay Seconday School. It moved to it's present location in 1911 where it was home to a hotel named Pleasant Hill. This school has produced many "Men of Might" and is renowned in Jamaica for it's both Academic and Sporting acheivements. However it's suffers a great downfall due to it's location near to a community which is ridden with crime. It's current school population is over 1,700 students and over 70 teachers. It also hosts a Grade 12 and 13 for male students who are preparing for college. The University of the West Indies Western Mona Campus is located there also.
