Saint Nicholas the Miracle-Maker Church is the only monument of the Bulgarian Renaissance of national significance in Pleven.
The temple is a three-nave basilica typical of Bulgarian Renaissance. The iconostasis was made by master Petar and two apprentices from the Tryavna Art School. The woodcarving of the iconostasis, the throne of the Bishop and the pulpit were made during the period 1843-1845.
