The Freight House was originally a train shed for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. Built in 1897, it is the oldest of the five remaining P&LE buildings at Station Square. Today it houses over 20 specialty shops, some of them occupying converted freight cars which rest on the original rails.
