Charlie's Field (Dublin)

An old underdeveloped waste ground which included a stream and bog until the 1970's; it occassionally had itinerant caravans and camps. Now developed with houses and a green space including a huge fir tree which was known as the Fairy Tree.

The name Charlie's Field might have been derived from the owners of the land - The Charlton's.
