Guava Gardens (Kohat)

Kohat city is very popular for gardens of guava and particularly this notified area. This whole area is very famous for guava- a fruit also known as apple guava. They are native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. Most likely naturally spreading (by means of ocean drifting) to parts of Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and some parts of Africa, guavas are now cultivated and naturalized throughout the tropics, and due to growing demand they are also grown in some subtropical regions.
These gardens areowned by Garhi Mawaz Khan and Garhi Banoorian families.The guava of this area is transported to Peshawar, Rawalpindi.Kohat`s guava is very popular. It also have some guava trees imported from Alabad district of India. These gardens gives fruits twice in a year-summer and winter.
