Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, this Victorian styled mansion was built for Captain Flavel in 1885 and is currently a museum owned and operated by the Clatsop County Historical Society. Captain Flavel made his living as a harbor master and was one of early Astoria's most influencial citizens. The house appeared in the 1985 movie "The Goonies".
