This park has been neglected since it was bought from the Battie-Wrightsons by Doncaster Council in the 50's. In 2004, massive restoration was begun on this park, to transform it into its former glory. In 2006, the Hall is still being refurbished, and painstaking work is being carried out to restore the ceiling in the Chapel, which has an ornate painting, covered in white emulsion by thoughtless decorators, years ago. The Hall is home to the South Yorkshire Museum of Modern Life, and houses a collection of items depicting local life for the last 100 years.
