Also known as the "Center of the Universe", Ashland is a small suburb of Richmond with train tracks going through the center of town. It has an active train station, many small shops, and fine eateries. The Ashland area is home to Revolutionary and Civil War Heritage with links to historical figures Henry Clay and Patrick Henry. It is also home to Randolph-Macon College, a small, private, liberal arts college.
