The majority of this 52 acre property is a pine-beech woods, and cutting through it is what many consider the most beautiful stretch of a branch of Kiln Brook, which empties at length into the Shawsheen River. Geologically and historically, this property belongs with TophetSwamp, but it has been separated by Route 128, which cut through in the late 1940s. This property contains the largest stand of American beech in Town and a rich diversity of plant life alongside the brook. Access is from the end of Garfield Street near the junction with Hickory or from Cedar Street and the Pine Meadows Golf Course. A recently constructed loop trail provides access to the woods. The northern end near Route 128 is wetlands.
