  • I was a 21 year old Navy AME Second Class Petty Officer stationed at Agana, Guam in 1970. Oklahoma City was my home. The people i worked with were dead serious about their jobs. That world was so removed from what I knew in Oklahoma that I would stare at the moon to reassure myself it was the same one, and I would see Oklahoma again. Who would of thought this aircraft would end up at Tinker AFB. The aircraft I worked on had one antenna, otherwise I would say I flew and worked on it.
  • I was overcome with emotion when I saw this post that I didn't pay atention to detail. This craft does not have the tail number of the four stationed at Guam. One note though, on the door is a commemoration of a crew that died at Wake Island after my time by a few years. They were from Guam, VQ-3. Wake Island was a frequent stop for fuel. I recall seeing the movie "Woodstock" there somewhere around Christmas time in 1970.
