Dubingiai castle mound lies in southwestern part of Dubingiai town, in Asveja lake penninsula (former island), it is one of the biggest castle mounds in Lithuania. Dubingiai castle and mound are listed in Culture Heritage Register.
Dubingiai castle was firstly mentioned in 13th centrury. Supposedly, wooden castle in 14th century was built in order to secure the way to Grand Duchy of Lithuania's capital Vilnius from Livonian knight attacks. During 1412-1413 Vytautas The Great built a new castle, later (~1430), wooden church in castle yard. It was acquired by Jurgis Radvila (polish Jerzy Radziwiłł) prior to 1508, since 16th centuyy it became residence of Radvila family. In the middle of 18th century the castle turned into ruins.
