Residence built c. 1926 on originally 46 acres for Elizabeth E.S. Lindsay {landscape architect}. She was the wife of Sir Ronald Lindsay who served as the British Ambassador to the US in the 1930's.
"Lime House" and the Eastover boat house site across from it on the Western shore, occupy the grounds of the the William Ludam (1757-1850) house. Ludlam witnessed the skirmish between Loyalists occupying Fort Franklin on Lloyd Neck, and three large ships and five armed Brigs mostly French.
