  Othera is a famous place with temples and church, in my knowledge there is no muslim community, near vadikuam behind NSS UP school there are 25 houses and there are almost 10 different cast people are staying there with unity. There was a famous music teacher(Bhagavather) called Samuel Bhagavather lived in this place and he died in 1983 and buried him in St. Thoms Marthoma Church east othera. Vadikulam is the border of Alapuzha District and Pathanamthitta District.

  Eraviperoor is famous for Football.Many of the National Football players belongs to Eraviperoor.St Johns H.S.S ground is the training place as well as only stadium for football lovers.Now a days Cricket fever started among youths.
