St. Louis Children's Hospital is the oldest children's hospital west of the Mississippi and one of the premier children's hospitals in the United States. The Children's Discovery Institute was established in 2006 through the collaboration of Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children's Hospital. The goal of the institute is to speed cures for most serious childhood disorders.

  • This description saying "Definitely better than Cardinal Glennon" is silly. Both each have their benefits. St. Louis Children's has nothing like the Bob Costas Cancer Center for outpatients, but it does have a rooftop garden that is amazing for kids who have to stay in the hospital.
