  • Hello, I live in Cambridge UK at present, but lived in Karunguzhi for four years in the early '70s, where my Father had a medical practice. We lived opposite the panchayat office and there was a small temple at the other end of the street, though I cannot remember the name of the street. I have fond memories of my childhood there, and I am looking forward to visiting there again with my wife and children. If any one has any recent photos of Karunguzhi, please do let me know.

  • Hello, I live in the San Francisco area of US. We used to live in Karunguzhi in the early 70's (72-75 I think) and I went to school in CSI school (3rd,4th and 5th standards). I still have my school pictures. My dad was the post master there and we lived in the post master quarters right above the post office. I don't remember the name of the street. I still remember the steamed rice smell from the rice mills in and around the post office. My dad used to be good frineds with the station master and hence we used to hang out in the railway station a lot as well as the fort nearby. Last time I was in India with my family (summer 2007), we were returning by train from Trichy and the train made an unplanned stop at Karunguzhi and I had the honor of touching its soil after all these years. I have many fond memories of this town. Share any recents photos and news about Karunguzhi.
