Although these falls are not very high (about 82 feet), they are really beautiful. This segmented waterfall cascades down over rocks in three separate plumes.

One can reach these falls by road from Chalakudy (approx. 30 kms). There is a very reasonable toll collected by the forest authorities for the maintenance of the surroundings. The falls can be viewed from the top plateau (a short walk from the gated entrance) or from the bottom (a slightly more strenuous hike down from the plateau). Although the hike back up can be a little tiring, it is well worth the effort to see the falls in all its glory.

During the monsoon, the trail to the bottom of the falls may be made off-limits by the ever present guards. It is always wise to follow their directions at all times since they are well aware of the dangers.
