The Peabody Hotel is a historic hotel in Downtown Memphis. It is well-known for the famous "Peabody Ducks" that live on the rooftop and make daly treks to the lobby in a "March of Ducks" celebration. The building, designed by Walter W. Ahlschlager, was constructed from 1924 to 1925. The Peabody went bankrupt in 1965 and became the Sheraton-Peabody Hotel. The hotel closed in 1973. During the late 1970s, the Peabody was renovated at a cost of $25,000,000, reopening in 1981. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 14, 1977. A new "Duck Palace" on the rooftop was unveiled in December 2008.

The Peabody Hotel, designed in the Italian Renaissance style, stands at 155 ft (37 m) tall and has 13 floors and 1 basement floor. It has 464 rooms (including 7 suites), 2 testaurants, 2 bars, a fitness centre, a pool, a spa and salon, 5 retail shops, an exhibit hall, three ballrooms, 25 breakout meeting rooms, and The Skyway Room.
