Benedictine nuns - Congregation of Solesmes. The Abbey was founded by Saint Cecilia de Solesmes in 1898. It is situated at the entrance of the Quiberon peninsula "to sing the ocean". The monastic community of the Abbey Saint Michel follows the rule of St. Benedict and tries to live the Gospel in fraternal life at all times and all through prayer or personal. The days of the Sisters are divided between Office of Gregorian Chant in Latin,the "lectio divina, prayerful reading of Scripture or Fathers of the Church, prayer and manual labor, all in silence.
