La Rochelle

France / Poitou-Charentes / La Rochelle /
city, municipality, interesting place, draw only border

The most central feature of LaRochelle is the Old Clock. Originally the tower was built in the 13th century as the gate to the center of town. Later in the 18th century there were major works undertaken on the roof and the clock was installed. If you walk through the gate and straight on you'll reach the beautiful arcaded shopping area, or walk through and go right to reach the vehicle free streets where you'll find the highest quality shops, bars and restaurants in La Rochelle.

  • Any barman and bartender in La Rochelle knows that he can easily make a pousse-café mixing pastis and vin ordinaire in an impitoyable. And this is mot very surprising because this is their métier.
