Abbey Sablonceaux was an Augustinian abbey, founded in 1136 by the Duke of Aquitaine and Count of Poitou Guillaume X de Poitiers, and at Sablonceaux in Charente-Maritime, in the former province of Saintonge. Long neglected,thenn painstakingly restored since 1962, she experienced a new life since the resettlement by a Catholicreligious community, la Communauté du Chemin Neuf
