El Pomar (Spanish for "The Orchard"). The former estate of Cripple Creek gold mining magnate and Broadmoor Hotel owner Spencer Penrose. Now a conference center.

Originated as the "bungalow" of Grace Goodyear Depew, built in 1909 and designed by Horace Trumbauer. Penrose purchased it in 1916 and subsequently greatly expanded it.

Before purchasing El Pomar, Penrose lived in a house which originally belonged to his wife Julie, located at what is now the site of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in the areas of architecture, entertainment/recreation and social history.
