store / shop, office building
Two joined 5-story cast-iron office buildings with a common facade completed in 1878. Designed by Henry Fernbach as stores, they are each five bays wide, painted white with Tuscan columns, and a bracketed and dentiled roof cornice. A pair of iron fire escapes with basket-style landings run down the facades. The bases of the ground-floor columns are fluted. The ground floors are occupied by Frye Company shoes, and Opera Gallery.
