Township in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1789 from Salem Township and named in honor of George Washington. Its original territory included what are now the municipalities of Allegheny, Lower Burrell, Upper Burrell, and most of Bell. The 2000 census counted 7,384 residents.
