In a memorial posted in painted dungarees, a friend wrote:

Sonya,
Hey I just go to know
you well but everything
that was said has
stuck w) me. And yet,
I will always miss these
Times and.
What,
now,
Cactus.
They said he had little
friendship.
A moon left him by.
Everything seemed
lifeless but how you
have let him down.
Let the spirit go
Bit the fruit of life
and live.

Her classmate took his life only weeks earlier: Jean-Paul (JP) Blanchard

A young girl who died in the late 1990's at this sight by accident on her bicycle (trying to cross and misjudged the speed of the massive, thundering locomotive) was remembered via a crosspost on which wreathes could be hung. That strong metal post was later damaged in a car accident in which the blue paint of the vehicle can still be seen upon the bent post.

Others have taken their lives here as well.
