Built in the 1930's to augment the storage and sorting capacity of the adjacent Electric Elevator, these silos were operated by the Electric Elevator Co until the company's mid-1960's bankruptcy after which they were purchased by the Gelinmac Storage Corporation.
Still under the ownership of Gelinmac, the silos are occasionally used to store animal feed.
