This place was the scene of a very pitched battle between the Pakistan Army and militants in January-February 2009. Militants fled the area in early March 2009 and the military secured the area upto "Bai-Cheena Top" overlooking the militant strongholds of Seway, Damadola and Badan in Tehsil Mamund bordering Afghanistan.
