In the area of ​​Patleina is the Bulgarian monastery from the X century ("St. Panteleimon"). In addition to being a center of cultural life, Patleina is famous for being the only medieval pottery of its kind. The icon of St. Theodore Stratilat, made of 20 ceramic painted tiles, was found here. It is one of the most representative examples of our cultural heritage (located in the museum near the ruins of Veliki Preslav). Prince (Tsar) Boris I spent the last years of his life in the Patlein Monastery after his resignation. In the area there is a tourist hut "Patleina", with 36 beds in rooms with 2, 3, 4 and 6 beds.
