Historic home built c. 1842 in the Federal style for James M. Bowen, a wealthy miller. It was later occupied by the Langhorne family, including Nancy Witcher Langhorne (first woman to serve in the British House of Commons, and later Lady Astor) and Irene Langhorne (who became a Gibson Girl). Alterations were made in 1921 by Delano & Aldrich for Nancy Tree who was a member of the prosperous Field family.
The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
