It is a mountain in the Himalayas, straddling the border between Yadong County of Tibet and the Paro district of Bhutan. Summit is on the Bhutan-Tibet border. The mountain is considered holy by the Bhutanese. Climbing this mountain is not permitted. Chomolhari is also sometimes referred to in legends as the bride of Kangchenjunga.
