The Bob Carpenter Center (BCC or Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center) was constructed in 1992. This building is part of the South Campus of the University of Delaware and the athletic complex. It hosts basketball events for both the university AND the state high school basketball semifinals and finals. It is also UD's main convention center hosting trade shows and other conferences, serves as a "Convocation Center" for UD's winter graduation as well as many high school graduations and also hosts major concert tours and other performances.
