Cambugahay Falls (Kinamandagan)

Located 2 km north of the town of Lazi, Cambugahay Falls is one of the attractions in Siquijor Island. It consists of cascading multi-tiered waterfalls, with fresh and clean warm water run-off, coming from natural springs, watersheds and small rain forests of the higher mountains. These waters then snake about 3 kilometers downstream, creating many beautiful swimming lagoons and little rapids along the way before it empties into Lazi Bay. - Limocon

  • Until I published pictures many years ago when the internet was still in its infancy, very few knew about the existence of this secluded hideaway. Back then, I was glad and proud I could share its existence with everyone. I have at present, mixed emotions, at times regrets, about introducing Cambugahay to the world. I now realized, how vulnerable this natural beauty is, that urban intrusion could easily destroy it resulting in irreversible damage if proper care is not given and irresponsible use is left unchecked. Many years ago, I discovered and enjoyed a few other hideaways in this Island Paradise. I have now second thoughts about letting the world know about them. So, to protect them, I have decided that they from hereon, will forever remain a secluded hideaway. Please help keep Siquijor Island beautiful and peaceful. Let it remain forever green, laid back, and rustic as it is today.
