Xidir Ilyas (Syriac: ܡܪܝ ܒܗܢܡ (Mar Behnam), Sorani/Kurmanji Kurdish: Xidir Ilyas, Arabic: قرية خضر الياس (Qaryat Khidr Alyas)) is a small town bult around the tombs of the regional Christian saint Mar Behnam, who is also known as Xidir Ilyas to the Yazidis and the Shabak and his daughter Marth Sarah, which were part of the Mar Behnam monastery. The monastery was far over thousand years old and was influenced by Persians, Arabs, Mongols and other cultures, when it was destroyed in July 2014 by the Islamic State terrorist militia.
