74 Narrow St. This 16th century tavern is one of London’s most characteristic riverside pubs, in a peaceful spot, well off the tourist route.
The back part of the pub is the oldest, with the recently refurbished back balcony, a fine place for a sheltered waterside drink;
steps lead down to the foreshore. The partly-panelled bar has lots of prints, mainly of actors, some elaborately etched windows and
newspapers to read.
The actor Sir Ian McKellen is one of the leaseholders of the pub.
