Budhihal in Shorapur Taluk of Gulbarga district is famouse for Neolithic settlement remains. Here there are three Ash-mounds. The site was excavated by Professor K. Paddayya from 1990 to 1995. This is one of the biggest neolithic site in southern india. This has yielded several stone tools, pottery, burials, dwelling houses, etc.
