The Sundial Bridge in Redding, California opened on July 4, 2004 as a pedestrian bridge crossing over the Sacramento River. It is the world's largest sundial. It is a cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge that was designed by Santiago Calatrava and completed at a cost of $23,000,000.
