Gudibande Fort in Chikballapur District

This hill fort belongs to 17-18th century A.D. constructed by local chieftains. The fort was renovated in Hyder-Tipu period. There is large bastion with provision of canon placing. Large size sculpture of sury or diety was laying on the fort upper fort area. Along with village on the foot-hill and large reservoir are important for the study for pre-colonial archaeology. - Aruni [Bangalore].
