Beaumont's Old Town Historic District & The Oaks (Beaumont)

~ Old Town features many eye-catching buildings and historic establishments that comes in many varieties of architectural styles and design. The Old Town district includes a mix of galleries, boutiques, specialty shops, historical residences such as the McFaddin Ward House, and major offices and businesses. It has had its ups and downs but a revival of the area is underway. Calder Avenue is the main thoroughfare through this district which is also a major entry way to downtown Beaumont. Calder Avenue is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar reconstructuring project which will improve and beautify the Old Town district for future and present growth.

~ The Old Town Trail is a beautiful drive tour through the Old Town District of Beaumont where charming historic homes and towering oaks adorn the streets. These homes are not open for touring except for once a year during the Annual Spring Home Tour put on by the Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association.
