Fire Department Dispatch for Strathmore Region.
The Town of Strathmore currently administers a fire department which consists of 36 Volunteers and a Full Time Paid Fire Chief. They operate out of one Fire Hall located at 721 Lakeside Blvd. in Strathmore.
The apparatus consist of three Pump Engines, one 30-meter Aerial Ladder Truck, a Rescue Truck, a Bush Buggy and a Command Vehicle. The Department also provides Water & Ice Rescue Services and have a Zodiak boat and Cargo Trailer.
The Town of Strathmore has established mutual aid agreements between fire departments, which encourages a cooperative approach to maximizing the level of service provided to our constituents. The agreements allow equipment and manpower from departments to assist neighbouring fire departments when required in the case of large fires or concurrent incidents.
Mutual Aid agreements are in place with all the communities encompassed by Wheatland County, the MD of Rocky View, the MD of Foothills, The City of Airdrie and the City of Calgary.
