One of the three fire halls for the city of Coquitlam, this fire hall serves both as the Coquitlam fire training centre, but also as the Coquitlam Search and Rescue headquarters.
The training centre consists of a underground confined spaces area, a training tower (including areal ladder rescue, and basic tower fire fighting techniques).
This fire hall is equipped with a helicopter port, and a rapid water rescue boat, to assist the Search and Rescue teams.
Recent changes in the operation of this hall include the addition of a second "quint" fire engine, as well as an addition crew to man it full time.
