The Kama'oa wind farm was owned and operated by Apollo Energy Corporation and provided power to Hawaii Electric Light Company (HELCO). It consisted of thirty seven 250 Kilowatt Mitsubishi turbines. Total nameplate capacity for the wind farm was 9.25 Megawatts when it was running.

The Kama'oa wind farm was commissioned in 1987 and shut down in 2006. In 2012 it was dismantled. It has been replaced by the Pakini Nui wind farm 1.2 miles to the southwest.
