This is where they train the dolphins and sea lions for the US Navy. Programs include object recovery (MK 5), mine hunting (MK 4), and force protection (MK 6).

Historically, many types of marine animals were tested and assessed. Some of these include orcas, pilot whales, sharks, birds, fur seals, and several species of dolphins. Eventually, bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions became the mammals of choice for their reliability, trainability, and exceptional underwater capabilities. Two beluga whales are currently out on breeding loan.
