Old Fort Erie – Ontario’s oldest British Fort (1764), Fort Erie changed hands between the British and Americans several times during the War of 1812.
It was the site of the bloodiest battle in the history of Canada - a British attack on August 15, 1814 during the Siege of Fort Erie.
The reconstructed fort is considered one of the best living history facilities in North America.
