The community of Hope is an unorganized census-designated place (CDP) in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. The population owas 192 as of the 2010 census. Hope started in 1896 as a gold mining town on Resurrection Creek.

Hope maintains a population of 200 residents year 'round. The community has several summertime events including a Pink Salmon Fishing Derby from July 15 to August 15. There is no entry fee and as expected for a gold mining community, the first place prize is one ounce of GOLD!
