This building was formerly a Memorex/Telex factory, which was artfully converted into a large corporate building in the Cherokee Industrial Complex. It once housed many facets of the Worldcom operations, but now, after 2 mergers, the largest bankruptcy in history, and 3 name changes, now only contains a little over 1,000 employees doing various duties for Verizon Business. Vanguard (which owns National and Alamo car rental companies) moved their corporate headquarters here in 2005.
