Large theater Aurora put into operation 13 May, 1967. Author of the project - Sochi Design Institute "Giprokommunstroy", the chief architect of the project Serdyukov Yevgeny.

Sculpture made a group of artists art and creative production association in the city of Krasnodar gift Residents of the 50 th anniversary of Soviet power. Ivan Shmagun sculptor, architect Eugene Lashuk, minted sculpture A. Morov. In 1975, a decision of Krayispolkom (Local Soviet Authorities) number 63 sculpture was identified as a monument to art. In 1981, a decision of Krayispolkom number 540 cinema Aurora has been recognized architectural monument.
